The Return of Douglas Bruce |
| Bruce has also masterminded an array of lawsuits and ballot issues designed to put the power of government in the hands of the governed. To the genuine freeman, Bruce is a living legend. |

Bruce one of the few politicians who know, follow Constitution |
| If a test for political office were indeed a requisite, Bruce would be walking the near empty hallowed halls of our state Capitol. Bruce is not just familiar with our U.S. Constitution, he knows it. He also knows our state constitution and he follows it. |

Web site endorsement flap a simple error that was corrected |
| Neither Douglas Bruce nor I was trying to claim an endorsement that did not exist. The letters are there for anyone to read and they speak for themselves. |

Waller`s voting record shows he`s not serious about politics |
| The choice on Aug. 12 is obvious: Bruce honors the right to vote; Donald “Mark” Waller does not. |

Candidates Face Off |
| State Rep. Douglas Bruce has been called a “terrorist,” a label he wore proudly as a description of his tactics with political opponents. Journalists often refer to him as an “anti-tax crusader.” Responding to a Gazette questionnaire recently, he called himself a “freelance nemesis of dishonest socialists everywhere.” |

A bunch of election talk that said nothing |
| Waller sounds like the typical double-talking politician, who will say anything (or nothing) to win. Don`t we have enough of them already? |

A vote for Waller for District 15 is a shot in the dark |
| As for Waller, he offers only a slogan: “a lifetime of leadership.” Doing what? How did an unknown become our leader? How can he lead us if he won`t say where we are going? |

Waller`s military rank no clue to his effectiveness in Denver |
| What do Mark Waller`s military rank and experience have to do with being a good candidate for the Legislature? We also don`t need any more lawyers up in Denver. |

Bruce more qualified for office than inexperienced newcomer |
| I live in HD 15. I don`t want cynical, corrupt Denver and its liberal agenda to twist and use a naive new legislator from my home district. I will volunteer and vote for Douglas Bruce, our state representative. He works for us — the hardworking taxpayers. |

VOTERS SEE TWO SIDES TO BRUCE |
| Bruce`s admirers blame a biased media and Republican leaders afraid of change for his clashes in Denver. Mike Van Horn said that with Democrats in control of the House and Senate in the state Legislature, the only way for Bruce to be heard was to be controversial. |

Bruce says integrity sets him apart |
| “The Bible doesn`t say: ‘Ye shall get a good public-relations consultant and he shall get you re-elected,” Bruce said. “This is a house of hypocrisy in terms of people trying to curry favor or create a good image but not, as I`m trying to do, serve public interest.” |

BRUCE PACKS FOR TRIP TO STATEHOUSE |
| In running for the District 2 seat on the county commission, Bruce promised to never vote for increased taxes, for government debt or for the removal of tax refunds, goals he had previously attained through state constitutional amendments. |

Congratulations, Rep. Bruce |
| You can expect Rep. Bruce to proclaim at every opportunity that the left-liberal emperor has no clothes at all -- bare naked yet shameless about it. If we want to revive the constitution and save the Republic, somebody has to say that. I believe Doug is just the man. |

GOP CHOOSES BRUCE TO FILL HOUSE SEAT |
| “Logically, the outcome today should be unanimous,” Bruce told party activists crammed into a small room at Cheyenne Mountain High School. “Those who support me want me in Denver to support our Republican goals. Those who detest me should vote for me to get me out of the county.” |

A CONFIDENT BRUCE SAYS HE WILL SEEK APPOINTMENT TO HOUSE SEAT |
| Douglas Bruce will seek appointment to the state Legislature instead of running for reelection for El Paso County commissioner. Bruce said at a news conference Monday that he has enough support from Republican officials to win the House District 15 seat, now held by Bill Cadman, who could be moving to the Senate. |
